About A Highlander's Temptation - Darroc MacConacher spends sleepless nights dreaming of a raven-haired beauty who makes him ache with desire. Then his dream comes true: the lady with her lush curves and fair skin appears shipwrecked on his shores. Darroc is immediately drawn to her strength and beauty, and from the moment she lays eyes on this powerful, broad-shouldered warrior, Lady Arabella MacKenzie knows she'll never want another man.
But theirs is a forbidden love. The MacKenzies drove the MacConachers from their lands and destroyed their honor. Now, Darroc can use this sapphire-eyed seductress to shatter his foes. Yet how can he deny the passion that burns between him and Arabella, and ruin the one woman who touches his very soul?

My comment on your post-Book Excerpt - City of Refuge by Valerie Farber. I have not heard of Valerie but her book intriges me to read it. I think it would be quite interesting to read and be in biblical times and experience their journies. Thanks for the review.

Hi Ladies - It's lovely to see you in here.
ReplyDeleteDor - Thanks so much for looking in here. I appreciate it.
Etirv - Thanks so much for your good words. And I'm so pleased that you enjoyed Until The Knight Comes. That's an older book but it was very special to me. As you'll know from the book, the hero's father was the villain in Devil In A Kilt. I always had a soft spot for him, though, and so I loved 'redeeming' him a bit through the telling of his son's story. I think Kenneth (the son) made a wonderful hero. I'm so glad you enjoyed this book.
Joy - I'm so happy that you also enjoyed Until The Knight Comes. That book introduced little Somerled who became a recurring character -as Devorgilla's magical helpmate - in my MacKenzie books.
You can see the setting photos gallery for Until The Knight Comes at my website. Just look for the book on the Books page and click on "see the inspiration." You can also see photos and read the true-life story of the real Somerled if you click on "Meet Somerled" in the red sidebar.
Anyway, thanks so much for looking in here. Good look in the drawing.
And have fun!
I recommend Master of the Highlands....Scottish romance stories are great!

Hi Ladies - Thanks so much for looking in here.
ReplyDeleteBcgirll - If you mean my own Master of the Highlands, thank you so much. If you mean mine, it's an older book. So I'm thinking you may mean a more recent book that used the same title. The author is Veronica Wolff. I quoted the book for her and it was very good. I'm delighted that you enjoy Scottish books.
Stacie - Thank you for looking in.
Good luck to anyone else who stops by.
Please count me in. Thanks for the chance. I have not read anything by this author yet. A tale of forbidden love that is one of my favs is The English Patient.
